I created this piece from field recordings taken of some objects in my apartment. My objective was to create the experience of being on the border between being sleep and being awake. The piece was inspired by memories of spending weekends at my grandfather's old house, which had a large clock in the living room, an attic full of dusty old toys and games. At night, sleeping in the living room, I could hear the old house settling, the occasional mice scurrying by, as well as the old grandfather clock.
