UX/UI, Front-End Development, Craft CMS
I designed the interface and developed the CMS configuration and templates for a mobile-responsive proposal system which allows sales people to create customizable presentations for potential customers. The system features password security, a single-page, brochure-style interactive site, contact form and more. The project required determining how to make the process user-freindly for both the front-end users and in the back end, for the sales associates. Technologies used for this project include HTML5, CSS, Webpack, SASS, Craft CMS, CI/CD. I designed initial protoypes with Invision.
Initial research identified several types of users, including in-house sales associates who need to create proposals fast and efficiently, and external end-users who are busy hospitality professionals who might have limited time, differing levels of knowledge about Encore, and may be using a range of devices either at their desk or on-the-go.
One important task was to create the feature set documentation and user manual for the proposal system. This required extensive personal testing and use of the system to verify the user flow and proposal creation process and to accurately describe the feature set, how to accomplish specific tasks and to describe the expected result of user actions.
In addition to the creation of the documentation, I also led several screen-sharing training sessions with different groups of team members to walk them through the proposal creation process.
